Green + Brown = Sophistication

le Petit Echo de la Mode cover circa 1940's
The color green symbolizes the bountiful gardens and trees found in nature.   Green, particularly the darker shades, is calming and restful.   When combined with the timeless elegance of a neutral such as brown, green becomes classically chic and sophisticated.

  1. How correct you are, chère Melissa! Brown and green are not only a sophisticated pairing but so seemingly classic and often over-looked as a fashion statement! Imagine this with a pop of pink or Prussian blue! Almost transitional, this earth-tone combination can be used anytime of year with a myriad of skin-hair-and eye colours...as so well displayed by this fine group of ladies! --Monsieur Érik

    1. Green and brown were my mother's favorite colors. I love the idea of the pop of pink or Prussian blue. Thanks so much Monsieur Erik. Melissa
