Gene's Summer Holiday

Film star Gene Marshall takes a well-deserved break from her hectic schedule to enjoy the summer holiday. Here she is relaxing after a stroll wearing a delightfully chic, striped, two-piece summer dress. Accessories include a straw beach-brim hat, scarf, woven straw bag with horsehair braid trim, gloves, and spectator shoes.

    AD Gene always looks gorgeous in your photos! Which AD gals are your favorites? I'd like to add a few (including Madra) to my collection. I just received Touch of Hospitality Gene on an IT body as a gift and I LOVE her! Megin

      I actually like the early ones with the grey brows! Symphony in G (she's my workhorse), Destiny (for a fabulous face), Blue Fox (love the hairstyle); but I also love Fashion Plot and Queen of Hearts. My all-time fave Madra's are Siren in the Night, Like a Fox, and the Black Widow. Melissa

    Thanks so much for your suggestions! I LOVE Queen of Hearts, Siren in the Night and Black Widow too! I've never paid much attention to Symphony in G because of that off putting gown. But I'll take a close look at the doll now! Of course I had a Destiny long ago, but I think I repainted and sold her. Need to get her back! Megin

      You're very welcome. My Symphony in G gown turned an ugly shade of uneven brown, but the doll is so versatile. Melissa
